What I work with now

For a long time, PHP was the language I wrote in most. Slim, the packages around it, and a large part of this blog grew out of that work.

That balance has changed.

These days I develop primarily with Java and C#. New work happens there. PHP is no longer where I spend most of my time.

This is not a goodbye.

I will continue maintaining my PHP packages. Bug fixes, compatibility updates, and the care that existing users depend on are not going away. If you rely on that code, it will keep being looked after.

What changes is the focus of new work and new writing. Expect more about Java and C#, and less about starting new things in PHP.

I also work with the Grok model now. I am very happy with the results. It has become a useful part of how I write and think through code.

I finally switched my desktop from Windows 11 to Linux Mint. It feels great. Even my printer is working ;-)
